Therapeutic cannabis use is gaining popularity and garnering sustained interest from the population. In this social context, and in view of the fact that cannabis research is booming, there is a growing need to train healthcare providers on the matter, enabling them to support, advise and guide individuals who wish to seek information on the subject, thus reducing potential risks of harms associated with self-medication.
Dr. Didier Jutras-Aswad, a psychiatrist, shared his expertise with Pénélope McQuade. They are joined by Justin Mercier, advisor for the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC), to discuss the use of cannabis for therapeutic purposes.
