The clinical studies conducted by the team of Dr Didier Jutras-Aswad aim to improve intervention and prevention strategies for drug addiction and mental health disorders. Clinical studies are trials on individuals carried out according to a safe protocol in order to analyze, evaluate and predict the effects of a specific management method for the treatment of specific physical and mental health disorders. All this in order to help people concerned in an optimal way. They therefore aim to improve, refine and create new methods of care, thus guaranteeing the effectiveness of the treatments available to date.
For my part, I participated in this experience because I was completely desperate and I could not stop using drugs.
What I particularly liked was that for a long time I had not felt useful. As a drug addict, I was pretty depressed. And this study allowed me to surpass myself, to stop using drugs, to see progress with the meetings each week. Above all, this study allowed me to gain hope again to get out of my situation.
